Lavonia Park is one of the most beautiful parks on the lake. The park is set on a hillside with great views of the southern end of Lake Lavon. This is a huge park with plenty of space for camping, RVing, or dayuse. There are two boat ramps within the park.

Eagle

Day-use entry into the park is $4. The fee is the same for boat launch. The first boat ramp is a nice 3-lane ramp that is somewhat on open water and it has a boat dock. The second ramp is farther into the park and is also a 3-lane ramp with a boat dock.

The day-use area has beautiful views of the lake. There are covered picnic tables with grills in this area. There is also a very nice swim beach.

Restrooms in the Shady Meadows Camping Area will be closed for renovations until some time in 2019. Take I-35 South to Exit 111. Follow Hwy 57 South for approx. 90 miles to the 480 Loop just outside of Eagle Pass. Turn left onto 480 Loop South and follow approx. 7 miles to FM 1021 (El Indio Hwy). Turn left and drive 2.5 miles to the main casino entrance road on the right. Coming from Laredo: Take I-35 North to Exit 18, Hwy 83 North.

Cross S is an up & coming RV Park located just north of Crystal City, TX. All 59 RV sites have full hook-ups: Water, Sewer & Electric (30 & 50 amps). There is a camping area. Campsites are $14 per night. RV sites are $30 per night. The campground offers 38 full hookup sites with water and electric. There are 15 water only campsites. Additional perks include hot showers, a dump station, swimming and a boat launch.

This is a beautiful park and great for a weekend visit. Some of the areas are lacking in trees, but some have plenty of trees so be sure to look around before picking a campsite.
